Every colour, surface, shape & texture contributes to an atmosphere of comfortable, relaxed modernism

Award-winning architect and designer Christopher C. Deam brings together an ideal balance of form and function within the Airstream’s stylish interior, for the International CCD decor he developed for Airstream in 2001.  Every colour, surface, shape and texture contributes to an atmosphere of comfortable, relaxed modernism.   The colour scheme of dark/ white and strong primary colours was reputably inspired by the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian's work.

The 532 was the first floorplan developed for the European market in 2006.  Every possible surface of the internal joinery has rounded corners, making the interior feel as rounded and aesthetically pleasing as the exterior of the trailer.   Using curves also eliminates hard edges and joints, reducing the risk of surface wear over time.    The semi reflective materials used - white laminate/ aluminium/ perspex - reflect light and make the interior seem very spacious.

The main cabin of the 532 is dimensionally the most spacious in the European range, with a palatial seating area 2m x 2m that quickly converts to a comfortable double bed with a slatted base.   The end washroom contains a separate shower cubicle, Thetford cassette toilet, hand basin and wardrobe - perfect for those who like to use the washing facilities of the trailer, rather than site facilities.

Mounted on a single axle, the 532 is easier to manoeuvre and smaller/ lighter for exploring 'off the beaten track', making it a popular choice for the adventurous traveller.   What are you waiting for?
